Sous Chef- Europa Hotel

The Europa Hotel is currently seeking a full time Sous Chef to join their busy team. The successful applicant will assist the Executive Head Chef in managing the Hotel's busy kitchens. This position will carry responsibilities for the full range of kitchen activities including training and developing kitchen staff to company standards and implementation and monitoring of food hygiene/ safety regulations. Key duties include: To ensure quality standards and procedures are fully understood, implemented and regularly reviewed, and that formal and informal feedback is used to ensure continual improvement; To ensure company policies relating to stock control and stock ordering are implemented and monitored, taking appropriate action to resolve problems; To ensure all kitchen employees receive appropriate training, coaching and development to provide effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards; To ensure the kitchen area, fixtures and equipment are properly maintained and presented to Hastings standards and to ensure the security of kitchen and storage areas is maintained at all times.Candidates must have previous experience at a similar level gained within a high quality catering establishment and should be qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in food preparation and cooking, and must have a current recognised food hygiene certificate. Restaurant Supervisor- Europa Hotel

The Europa Hotel are currently seeking a full time Restaurant Supervisor. The post holder will be responsible for the supervision of the Restaurant to ensure the Hastings standards of presentation and service are maintained. Some key duties include: To take responsibility for the effective supervision of the restaurant employees, to ensure efficient operation of the function and delivery of Hastings product and service standards; To ensure company policies relating to cash handling, stock control and stock ordering are implemented and monitored; To ensure all Restaurant employees receive the appropriate training and coaching to provide effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards and to ensure all restaurant employees work to trained standards, providing feedback to deliver effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards. It is desirable that applicants have previous supervisory food and beverage experience gained in a similar quality restaurant. They must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with grades A-C in English and Maths, and must be computer literate.
